Skin Tightening

Skin tightening treatment explained

Age and weight loss are two of the main factors that contribute to loose or sagging skin. Whether you experience loss of volume on the face or body, our team of experts have scientifically-led solutions to help refine your silhouette and create firmer skin at the same time.

Causes

Sagging skin is a natural part of ageing, because over time, less elastin and collagen are produced by the body. These are key proteins that keep skin supple and elastic. In addition, the skin loses moisture with age, because its natural barrier weakens. It’s also the case that sudden or large amounts of weight loss can make skin loose or saggy.

Treatment

In-clinic, we offer a range of treatments to combat skin laxity, including Silhouette Soft – our non-surgical face lift treatment; chemical peels to help ‘reset’ the skin and bring newer, healthier and more radiant skin to the surface; HIFU technology to stimulate collagen at a deeper level and cause tissues to contract and tighten; and Profhilo, an injectable, which is known for its skin-tightening abilities. Finally, we can also use microneedling to encourage collagen production.

Areas which can benefit from skin tightening include loose saggy skin, lower face and neck, arms, bra buldge, tummy and knees.
