1. How can wrinkle relaxers help me?

   We often recommend wrinkle relaxers for those who show signs of lines and wrinkles when they’re not actively moving their face, or in those likely to develop wrinkles in certain areas, depending on their expressions. Our treatment can help soften their appearance and create a rested result.

2. What happens during an appointment?

   Wrinkle relaxers, like any injectable, are quick and easy to carry out. However, they can only be provided under licensed by a trained medical professional, such as Dr Ejikeme or her expert medical team. Both Botox® and Bocouture® must be prescribed ahead of your treatment and a consultation can help determine if it’s right for you. Providing you’re eligible for treatment, the injected areas are then numbed ahead of time.

3. How long do wrinkle relaxers take?

   Usually, your appointment will last around 20-30 minutes – though this does depend on how many areas you’re treating.

4. How long do the results last?

   Wrinkle relaxers take around two weeks for results to have their full effect. Their effects can last anywhere from 3-6 months, though results do vary. You can book a repeat treatment as you’ll start to see movement again in the treated areas. By carefully scheduling appointments, you can prevent a gap in your results.

5. How much wrinkle relaxer will I need?

   Dr Ejikeme and the expert medical team will carefully assess you both still and in animation and place the right amount for your features. If this is to light more can be added at a follow-up appointment.

6. Are there any risks related to wrinkle relaxers?

   As with any injectable, swelling and bruising  can happen, this will usually subside after a few days. You may develop a mild headache after treatment. Rare complications include lid droop and asymmetry. There are some serious risks with wrinkle relaxers, such as blurred vision or breathing difficulties have been reported but these are extremely rare.

7. What is the recovery time?

   Botox requires minimal downtime and most patients are able to go straight back to work after an appointment.

8. Will my results look unnatural?

   We want to create a radiant, rejuvenated appearance for our patients, and to elevate and enhance your natural skin. Because we favour a ‘less is more’ approach, your results could be built on.

9. How do I care for my skin afterwards?

   As with most injectables, it’s a good idea to avoid make-up and alcohol in the first day or so. You’ll also need to avoid exercising over this period. Until the product has settled, we advise against touching the face and as always, protect your skin from the sun and stay hydrated. Finally, we caution against smoking, which could prevent you healing properly.
