1. Why should I have treatment?

   Skin tightening treatment can help restore the appearance of your skin and combat skin laxity and loss of volume. We’ll start your skin journey with a consultation here at our Central London clinic, then recommend appropriate treatments for your desired results.

2. Which treatment is best for me?

   During your consultation, we’ll get to know you and your skin, while finding out what results you’re looking for. We can then talk you through relevant treatments, many of which can be customised to your needs.

3. What's causing my skin to sag?

   Age is one of the leading factors, because as we get older, our skin doesn’t produce as much collagen and elastin (two supple skin proteins), while pockets of fat, such as those in the cheeks, can start to lose volume. Finally, the skin naturally thins over time and muscle tone begins to degrade.

   Sun exposure is another leading factor, as this can speed up some of the processes outlined above. And, of course, if you’ve lost weight, your skin might have stretched and may not ‘bounce back’.

4. When will I see results?

   Dermal fillers can have an instant effect on your skin, while chemical peels may take a few days to show results, as peeling is involved. Finally, Silhouette Soft has immediate, developing and long-lasting results.

5. How long do results last?

   It depends on your treatment, and whether you’ve combined different treatments to achieve your results. Everyone’s skin, metabolism and lifestyle is different too, and these can all play a part in the longevity of your results.

6. Will I experience side-effects or downtime?

   All treatments do have some though rare risks and these are discussed in the consultation prior to treatment. Side-effects differ between facial aesthetic treatments, but often, swelling, tenderness and bruising can be factors, though in nearly all cases these side-effects fade over time.

7. What other treatments could I consider?

   If you’re looking to tone and tighten your skin in general, and have stubborn pockets of fat that just won’t shift, you could consider our UltraSculpt or Fat Freezing treatments.

8. Are your treatments suitable for men?

   Of course – lots of men come to us looking to shape, sculpt and hone their features.

9. What else can I try?

   We always highlight the importance of sun safety, as UV exposure can lead to premature ageing increase laxity in skin.
