1. What conditions are glow peels used to treat?

   Our glow peels can be used to target a range of concerns, ranging from hyperpigmentation, to acne, to scarring. Powered by science, they work intensively to boost radiance and even and resurface the skin. They are also suitable for Black, Asian, Caucasian and mixed heritage skin.

2. How is a skin peel performed?

   We cleanse first before applying your chosen peel. As well as our Adonia Glow Peels, we can also offer chemical peels, and peels such as Cosmelan and Dermamelan, TCA.

3. How long does a skin peel take?

   Our peels are quick, and effective and in our hands very safe. Our expert team are hand picked and trained by Dr Ejikeme each member passionate about achieving exceptional results for their patients.

4. What is the most popular type of skin peel?

   Our Adonia Glow Peel is our most popular type; it’s a ‘red carpet’ treatment for skin that resurfaces, rejuvenates and boosts radiance.

5. Are glow peels painful?

   Though the peel might create a brief tingling sensation, our patients tolerate the process well. It’s really rare to have any serious side-effects.

6. How long do the results last?

   You could enjoy results for months, or even years. It depends on following good aftercare and how deep your peel is, as the more it penetrates the skin, the more effective it can be. Results do vary between patients and skin types.

7. How many glow peels will I need?

   Chemical peels can create visible results even after your very first try. However, to prolong the effects, you’ll need a course of around 6 peels and monthly superficial peels for maintenance.

8. Are there any risks related to chemical peels?

   With any aesthetic treatment there are risks including infections and skin discolouration though these are rare. At Adonia Medical Clinic as a doctor-let clinic the expert team undergo rigorous continual training to ensure we always offer the highest standard of care to our patients.

9. What is the recovery time?

   Light peels usually take 3-4 days for healing, while medium peels take around a 4-10 days. Deep peels can take a few weeks.
